Discipline is very important in Japan, while in Indonesia 10 minutes late in considered normal. This habit is commonly called "Jam Karet" (rubber time). For the Japanese, this kind of habit will make a problem. Because they are taught discipline strictly, where they have to do 5 minutes preparation before the time promised. If you are just a few minutes late will be considered lack of discipline, or considered to unprofessional at work. In Indonesia, the term appears due to our environment which is difficult to put exact time because of many reason, such as heavy traffic, the time differences and other. Our geographic differences, the density of traffic and culture that make us often late. Please remove this habit if you work in an environment dealing with foreign guest guys :)))
